It is not an animal, nor a plant nor a mushroom. But it lives, eats and learns. It is actually a Physarum polycepharum. Although it is a sort of yellow blob of slime, what might not look like much, has some enviable abilities: Cut one in half, and it can heal in under 2 minutes. Despite having no brain it shows off problem solving skills, eats with no mouth, moves with no legs and, besides, it has 720 known ways to mate with another of its kind. Impressive, specially if you take into account that it's made of a single cell!
