Her name has echoed down the centuries and become synonymous with Egypt but today it has largely been forgotten that Cleopatra, Egypt's last and arguably most famous Pharaoh, was actually an immigrant from a Greek dynasty descended from the philosopher Ptolemy. However her racial heritage wasn't that important when she seduced the Roman invaders Julius Caesar and Marc Anthony to save Egypt.
