The ColorADD code is a colour identification system that seeks to help colour blinds in their day to day live. The code is based on five base signs that represent primary colours plus white and black. There's also combined signs to include secondary and more complex colours. It'll be easier for colour blinds, who are around 10% of the males, to know in which car park floor/colour they parked or which colour train line they need. Although visualising that weird tone that their wife is describing will still need some imagination.
