Residents of the Finnish island of Hailuoto woke up to their beach being covered in thousands of big egg-shaped balls of ice. Products of a rare weather phenomenon that wears down ice sheets into round objects, the eggs look like they could have been laid by thousands of geese. Similar phenomena have also been observed in Siberia and Lake Michigan in the United States.
