A lion's life is truly one of leisure and easy work. Whether it's playing on the open plains with other lions and beasts, or laying in the shade (for 20 hours per day!), waiting for the heat to pass, there is little to make a lion work hard. A steady supply of food (less fortunate animals) on demand adds to the fun. After all, has anyone seen a lion look anything other than completely content?
