Arachnophobes beware: it can actually rain spiders! Residents of Minas Gerais in Brazil stood aghast as they watched a downpour of thousands of baby spiders. Video footage reveals legions of the eight-legged critters moving across the sky. However, experts say that so-called 'spider rain' is quite a common occurrence in the region and is caused by the spinning of giant webs as a hunting strategy. Not sure if that's a relief for anybody!
