Don’t be surprised if you walk into a hospital and your nurse’s assistant is Sally the dog. Researchers at Durham University in the U.K have found that dogs can be trained to sniff out Malaria in dirty socks, a disease that kills 500 thousand people worldwide each year. The study was presented at the 2018 American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene Annual Meetings. What we don't know is if trained dogs think that their job "socks"...
