Have you ever tried to see in salt water? Everything is a blur, isn't it? Not so for the mantis shrimp (Gonodactylus smithii) which has truly amazing eyesight. These little shrimps can not only identify a huge wider variety of colours compared to human beings, but they can also detect ultraviolet light and see in the dark too (thanks to their eyes' infrared sensors). Their sight is definitely the most complex one among the animal world.
