Through a process called metastasis, cancer spreads throughout the body from the original tumor. Researchers from the University of Basel, led by Professor Nicola Aceto, have discovered a drug that has been remarkably effective to halt metastasis: The key here is to divide the cancer cells so they can't progress further nor spread the disease.
