Some species of wild mice, and specially the long-tailed mouse, transmit the Hantavirus, which causes an acute lung infection that might be deadly. Although the mice don´t suffer from the disease themselves, the virus is present in their excrements. Human beings get sick by breathing the air in the room where there´s mouse poo and there isn´t a suitable ventilation.
