The results of the expeditions carried out by the schooner Tara has massively raised the number of known viruses in the world's oceans from 16,000 to nearly 200,000 different types. Researchers were surprised to find that viruses could be broken up into just five groups and that the arctic regions had a lot of diversity of viruses. Have fun swimming!
