Delicately balanced on the water, the stilt fishermen of Sri Lanka impose few shadows, allowing them to catch their fish with little disturbance of the water. Patiently perched on poles of twine and wood, the practice is found along the southern coastal region and is popularly recreated by tourists for snapshots. Dotted on the seashore, it makes for a romantic view when complimented with a southern fish curry.
