One of the most expensive shoes in the world are called "Eternal Diamond Stilleto" and have a frightening price of 230,000 dollars, amount that might be enough to buy a Ferrari.
Christopher Michael Shellis, the well-known British jeweler who works for the House of Borgezie, designed these shoes. Its purpose was to create such luxury shoes that no one could ever make any replicas of them. It took him three years to finish them, having to melt gold at temperatures above 1000°C, in order to do so.
The price can be justified by the fact that this pair of shoes are crafted with solid gold and have embedded approximately 2,000 diamonds. In total, there are 30-carat shoes, which add up to a figure of $230,000.
The stamens of a stylish Fleur de Lis inspired its design. This shoe has a unique feature, what is the heart displayed on the sole of the sandals, which can also be easily and quickly removed. The heel is removable as well. In fact, it was such a unique feature that Shellis decided to patent all of these characteristics. Indeed, Shellis wanted to design a pair of shoes that if they wore out, they could be quickly changed anywhere, making sure that the sandal never gets old.
Nowadays, they are exposed in the Mailbox Birmingham, and different candidate names are starting to pop up as possible buyers, but Shellis hasn’t made it official yet. Along with these shoes, they also sell some luxury accessories that would perfectly combine with them, all made with gold and diamonds. We are talking about a lipstick holder of 18 carat with a price of 35,000 €, or a purse with diamonds and gold at a price of 175,000 €, or a mirror with a palm shape with a price of 33,000 €. Nonetheless, if we want the entire pack, we would be spending a total of 72 million euros for the shoes and 243,000 € more in accessories.
