Out of all the creatures that swim in the briny depths, the Goblin shark must surely rank among the most bizarre. Its distinctive snout makes it look less like a shark with a nose, and more like a nose with a shark! Still, its morphology has served it well: The other members of its Mitsukurinidae family, a 125 years old lineage, went extinct in the age of the dinosaurs.
