With webbed hind feet, long toes and a comical but effective gait, the common basilisk has the enviable ability to walk - or rather, run - on water, which is why it's also known as the Jesus Christ Lizard. These large members of the iguana family live in the rainforests of Central America, where they've yet to turn any of their watery habitat into wine.
