Some hermaphrodite "Ninja" snails are the original Cupid. They "fire" a calcium, or chitin, "love dart" into their partner. Mucus carried by the dart improves chances that eggs can be laid, be viable and later on become little snails. The experience is not risk-free. The darts can hit vital organs, and snails may try to fire their dart without being hit in return.
