Okunoshima, the island home to a crowd of rabbits

Rabbits have conquered the island

The reputation of a Japanese island, once notorious for a factory making horrific chemical weapons, has been transformed after it was colonised by the descendants of rabbits once used to test its former toxic exports. Or maybe after some kids released a bunch of them in 1970's, not sure. What is true is that now visitors flock to feed the herds of tame rabbits which have flourised on Okunoshima, where their population can grow unchecked by predators.
