Leslie Leiwand's recent study shows that when eating a meal, a python's heart doubles in size for increased cardiovascular performance. It's all down to three fatty acids, which are also present in the human heart. Expansion of the liver, pancreas, kidney and small intestine were also discovered. Hopefully this can be converted into progresses in human heart health!
