The floating cranberries

  • Cranberries harvester flooding
Cranberries are harvested by flooding the bogs

The small round fruit is grown on dry land in sunken beds called bogs; going against common belief of an underwater growth. Harvesting of cranberries is unique and exhilarating to watch, as flooding (up to farmers' waist!!) of their bogs causes them to float. A sea of swimming cranberries can be witnessed bobbing up and down, waiting for their turn to be scooped up by the big truck.
