Vantablack is an artificially grown substance so black that it blocks out over 99.9% of light. Created at temperatures over 400 degrees by a chemical process it cleverly traps light within vertical tubes and that trapped light turns to heat. This Vertically Aligned Nano Tubes Arrays, as it's known, aids space research and even helps to keep military forces hidden from detection.
