Most parents make their kids do a few chores around the house, but weaver ant larvae actually help to build theirs. Weaver ant workers will hold larvae in their jaws and use the silk that they excrete to weave leaves together to construct nests. With colonies sometimes numbering up to a hundred nests, the kids are certainly earning their keep.
