The Archerfish squirts a powerful jet of water droplets from its mouth like a watery arrow to knock its land-based prey off overhanging vegetation. They can aim for unsuspecting insects from 2-3 metres away and usually hit their target on their very first attempt. While young Archerfish are learning how to improve their aim they hunt in small schools - afterall, practice makes perfect!
