After throwing the plane hurry to press the brakes

Situated in a steep river gorge in Bhutan in the Himalayas, it is little surprise Paro Airport began life in the 1960s as a helicopter base for Indian Armed Forces pilots. Today, the area's popularity with tourists and visitors to many Buddist monasteries means Paro now handes up to 50 plane landings per day but only a select team of pilots is authorised to land, due to the highly risky manoeuvres required.
