A bay by one of the more than 1,000 islands to make up the Maldives is the perfect feeding ground for stingray and whale sharks. When tides align, vast quantities of krill and plankton are corralled on one side of Hanifaru and its bay hosts a spectacular display as hundreds of giant rays gorge on their tiny prey. A spectacle which you might prefer to enjoy from the distance though.
