In south central Romania, near the village of Costesti, reside what are known to the locals as ‘Trovants’ – the rocks that grow! Consisting of a sediment outer shell, these ‘Trovants’ can be seen secreting sandstone in response to rainfall, giving the appearance of a shifting of their shape. This phenomenon results in rocks that amazingly... keep growing!
