Many people take delight in watching pigeons bathe themselves in back gardens, but what many don’t know is that pigeons also have a very unique way of drinking water. Whilst most birds lack the ability of sucking liquids into their throats, thereby forcing them to fill their beaks with water and tilting their heads in order for the water to fall down their throats, pigeons and doves do possess this ability and are able to drink water without raising their heads. Everybody would agree that pigeons "suck"!
