Kalachi, Kazakhstan: officially the most boring place on Earth. Oh, is it? In 2014, the previously unknown village hit the headlines after approximately 140 inhabitants fell asleep at different times, some while they were walking and others when riding, for minutes or for as long as six days. So concerned were the locals that a research was performed, until scientists discovered that a disused mine was emitting high levels of carbon monoxide, causing oxygen levels to plummet. Local authorities had no choice but to offer relocation to everyone.
