Meet the newt that projects poisoned ribs through its skin

  • Iberian ribbed newt
Don't try to hold it by its sides

Many of us will break or may have already broken at least one rib in our lives. It's terribly inconvenient. Imagine if instead of having our ribs broken, we could poison people with them instead? Okay, maybe that sounds a little excessive, but it certainly works as a great defence mechanism for the creative Gallipato newt, a creature worthy of our respect due to its ability to expose highly poisonous ribs when under threat. You wouldn't want to try punching it.
