  • modern times forever
  • modern times forever live

The longest film ever made is Modern Times Forever and lasts 14,400 minutes, which is the same as 240 hours, or even 10 days. Incredible! When nowadays a movie that lasts more than 2.45 hours is considered as a long movie!

This film was firstly screened at the central square in Helsinki (Finland), beginning on March 23. It began to be exhibited as part of the IHME Contemporary Art Festival and to do so a screen of 40 square meters was required.

The film was made by a group of Danish artists called Superflex. They are widely known for their satirical works. Modern Times Forever is an experimental movie showing sequences anticipating future deterioration of the Stora Enso building, which is an offices building located in Helsinki. Thousands of years are simulated in fast motion during the 10 days that the video lasts.
