When it comes to frogs and tadpoles, it's sometimes quicker to list those creatures that don't like to eat them rather than those that do partake. The red-eye tree frog, at least, does its best to be one hop ahead of would-be predators. Even before hatching, its tadpoles are so sensitive to surrounding movements that they will hatch early (and speedily!) to escape hungry mouths. Fortunately, with their eggs being laid on vegetation overhanging water, the tiny tadpoles do not have far to fall in search of safety.
