The Bugatti Veyron Sport stands out since it can reach the astonishing speed of 431 km/h.
The Bugatti Veyron is a car designed and developed by Volkswagen and produced by Bugatti. The first car was launched in 2005 and the classic version continued in the market until 2011. Thereafter, they started designing and producing versions of the Grand Sport and Super Sport, which were respectively launched in 2009 and 2010. The difference between the Veyron Sport and the classic version are only some aerodynamic modifications that correct deficiencies at high speeds.
This car model meets the requirements of the Guinness World Records since they have sold 30 units. However, only 5 of them are allowed to reach the speed of 431 km/h, while the remaining 25 are electronically limited to 415km/h. Its market price in 2014 was about $ 1.3 million.
Like all Bugatti, this car is known for its classical image and the great technology behind it. Every detail has been thought out and developed in a unique way to give the best kind of service and product to the end customer. Its technical characteristics are unbeatable: It has 16 cylinders, 8 liter, 1,200 horse power engine, powered by 4 different tubes. Its total length is 4.47 m, and its back part of the car is 1.99m wide, being its total weight 1,800 kg. Besides, it also has an aileron that can change its position according to the speed at which it’s traveling. These technical and design features allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.3 seconds.
The Veyron Sport could cover the distance between two cities separated 1,000 km in 2.5 hours.
Regarding fuel consumption, some recorded results unveil that this car needs 14.7 liters of fuel per 100 km when traveling around countryside. This amount can be increased up to 40.4 liters per 100 km when traveling across city areas. So it’s not only about having 1.3 million dollars to buy the car, but to make sure you can maintain it and pay for its combustible later on.
Other similar cars to the Bugatti Veyron Sport would be the McLaren F1, Koenigsegg CCXR and Agera or SSC Ultimate Aero.
