Old car La Marquise

Constructed in 1884 by Frenchmen De Dion, Bouton and Trépardoux, La Marquise is still running. It participated in the world's very first car race, a 20 mile round-trip from Paris to Versailles and actually was the only participant that showed up. It averaged 18 mph though it was capable of going as fast as 38 mph. The steam powered car took about 30 minutes to prepare to move, not ideal for a quick getaway.
